How to resign from a job?



I heard it's not appropriate to give in your 2 weeks on a Friday. Is this true? and if yes, why?

no it's not true. any 2 weeks notice is considered a good thing. friday is good because your last day would be a friday, good day to clean out your stuff. Source(s): poob

1. How to resign - Write a letter of resignation. This will be placed in your personnel file and may be seen by future employers. Be very professional and polite and state clearly when your last day will be.

2. You can turn in your letter on Friday, then work for the next full two weeks.

That's not true - it doesn't matter what day of the week you give notice. However, most people give their two weeks' on a Monday so that their last day will be on aFriday.
You can give your two weeks noice on a Friday.
