Mawing lawns ??? |
im 13 and i want to start a job and i was wondering how many people i should mow for and how much i should charge can u plz help me Teenage jobs are best done through your local school, public library or church. You will be surprised at the job opportunities posted in your Church. They might be able to hook you up in summer type jobs like caddying in golf courses, day camps for kids, life guards in town pools, etc. I don't know what the current rate is now for mowing lawns but you should get the same rate in your area. Ask around. Checkout this site for teenage jobs. It has also other topics of interest for kids. http://www.quintcareers.com/teens.html... How about going into business? If you have a skill that you can make money on why not? For example, if you are creative and good with your hands you can make something and sell it to your classmates, friends and relatives. Or you can buy things at discount and sell them at a profit. You can also wash cars and do odd jobs for your neighbors. When I was a kid a I shined shoes on weekends. Even if you don't make money, the experience would be well worth it. Peace and blessings! Do u know how to mow grass or do u just push the lawn mower than u have to make sure u edge the grass so tht the person will be pleased with ur mowing and i wld say if u know what u are doing u can charge at least 25.00 that is a start. You can do other stuff besides mowing grass, you can do a lemonade stand or sell your old toys and stuff in a backyard sale. But if your mowing lawns you should charge at what price they are willing to pay, because it's all about courtesy and not being greedy. My husband is a landscaper, he charges about $50.00 for a big backyard and a decent sized front yard. If he has to pick up trash in the yard or if the grass is very overgrown he charges extra. If all you are doing is cutting the grass and not using a weed eater too then don't charge too much. Depending on the size of the yard probably about $20 to $50 and that's just for weed eating and cutting the grass. what are you going to use? push mower, rider, commercial type mower? whats your expenses, gas ,oil, blades and upkeep on equipment must be taken into account. are you serious or just trying to make quick buck? consider these factors before jumping in. |
