I was just wondering if maybe anyone here has ever worked at a local gym at the front desk doing things like clerical work??

no, sorry.
i'm a secretary in a real estate office and i've had friends who work the front desk in gyms but they usually dont do much paper work. thats left up to the trainers that have to keep tabs on their customers. or at least thats what i think.
Friends of mine have answering the phone, signing up new members, letting in existing members and folding up freshly cleaned towels. There was no "standard" clerical work at the front counter.
Nop, never did any clerical work really. Heard it's a good job to meet dates though :).
