I'm 5 months pregnant,what is the chance of getting hired? |
I'm 5 months pregnant, already show, what is the chance of being hired? I really want to work. Should I tell the interviewer the truth that I'm pregnant? Unless it would prevent you from doing a reasonably good job, an employer can't refuse to hire you for being pregnant. Slim to none if you're already showing. Try to get a seasonal job. You might have better luck at a temp agency. Since you show they will assume you will take off for a lot of doctor appointments then 12 weeks FMLA just as you finish training. Temp work doesn't put the weeks of training in for people so it will be easier to find work. Try going through a temping agency. They can find you short term work and a job that is suitable for your condition. You shouldn't lie to future employers they always find out the truth and pregnancy isn't something you can hide for long! You can definitely fill out job applications. I am currently 7 months pregnant and I applied for a job that I thought I wouldn't get because of my pregnancy, but what do you know they called me and said I was a good candidate! I am so happy. I was very upfront about being pregnant and that I would need a flexible schedule that would accomodate me and my baby schedule. Just because you are pregnant shouldn't stop you from applying! Psychologically...going to the welfare office to receive handouts is not for me. I would rather work and earn my money for my baby's needs. If they don't hire you at least you are putting your name out there and getting a foot in the door for when you will become available. Good luck! survey at the mall..or wal mart. You need to tell them the truth. what if they dont know and soemthing happens. You need to think of the baby! If they know your condition they can provide a safe workplace situation for you and bub. Try temping. :) |
