I'm after a part time job on Thurs and Fri but not in retail or fast food any ideas? What about bar work? Its fun, you meet loads of people, and you get drinks bought for you! If not bar work, keep an eye out in the paper - some offices want people only for a couple of days for office work, but in all honesty, retail is probably the best option if you can only do those two days. Ive worked in retail, its not so bad, and if its only 2 days, it will be bearable. Chimney-sweep. You could be an order picker A postman to be honest there homes you are REALLY slimming down your options. there are very few places OTHER than retail or fast-food that high people as part-time workers, let alone only thursdays and fridays. you should probably reconsider why you dont want to work those jobs. especially when you go more than 3 weeks without finding anything. I would suggest you go to your local Job centre and ask them. How about working with children or adults with learning disability's, it is usually recommended in shift work so two days a week would be ideal. Why don't you approach a company that you would be interested in starting a career with and see if you can do any part time work for them, for instance, if you fancied becoming a Engineer, then why not see if any engineering firms will let you in to do non specialised work, even if its only filing. Sort of like a pseudo apprenticeship/ work experience. Its a win win, they will get an extra hand and you will get to learn more about your chosen profession fro closer to hand to see if its what you actually want to do, rather than study for 5 years only to find out you would rather be a missionary. |
