If you had a chance to make over a million dollars in 5 years would you take the job?

I would like every ones opinion on my situation. My husband has an opportunity to make over 1,250,000 in a 5 year period. Our financial situation isn't small by any means we make great money no where near that but we are not hurting. The only thing about this opportunity is that he would have to be gone for 6 months at a time over seas and home 6 months at a time. I would not be able to go with him because of company insurance reasons which doesn't bother me at all. We do own land and have started plans to build a house. We do not have any children currently, and aren't really tied to any one place. I would miss him greatly and be bored out of my head at times I'm sure. We are both under the age of 32. Honestly what would you do in this situation?

Go back to school and finish your degree, or get a career if you already have one. No need to sit around and be bored.
SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!
Let him go. If you hold him back, he may blame you in the future.
I guess it would depend on if you could financially afford to quit that job after the five years or not. If he could and not worry about finding another one, then I might consider it. If he would need to continue working after the five years, I wouldn't. With that kind of income you could afford to make frequent visits, though, and maybe even both quit your jobs afterwards and spend time together. Good luck, this is a tough one. For me personally, there's no way I'd do it unless I could be with him, but I'm needy. lol
for that kind of money - hubby can fly home once in a while during the 6 month tour for visits. I would go for it.
i would take it....u can take some kinda classes to occupy ur time while he's away. heck u could even start to plan on ur home. put money into an IRA or CD's something. plus u would enjoy the 6 months that u have him back home a whole lot more.
Not unless its way over a million dollars in 5 years. More like 50 million in 5 years. If you break it down for each year your husband would only make $250,000 a year. Depending on how big your family is and how many are working. That isn't a lot. If you break it down even more that's only $20,833.33 a month. You can buy 1 house for a million dollars and more. But if you don't mind $250,000 a year go for it.
