Is it ok to wear polo, jeans and sneakers in an interview? |
on my inteview at bestbuy I'm planning on wearing a polo shirt, jeans and air force 1 sneakers, I just want to know if this is appropriate. or do I have to wear khakis and casual shoes? and to i have to tuck in my shirt? I went for a warehouse job once dressed precisely how I would dress to work there. My mom went nuts! You HAVE to dress up! I said to her: "You want me to wear a suit and tie for a WAREHOUSE job?" I think it's fine. But the only person who really counts is the interviewer. IF they are one of these people with that attitude of ... dress professionally then you have cost yourself a job. It's better to be safe than sorry. Or ... roll the dice. hell no! sorry but its not. dress for the job you want! Khakis and a shirt, casual shoes, tuck in your shirt. Be neat. Best Buy can be tough on applicants. no jeans are you crazy? It depends where you are interviewing. Its ok for a retail job in the mall that is not a department store. Its ok for a music store or some trendy place. But not ok for a hospital, office or somewhere where everyone else is dressed more buisness attaire. Even if you are applying to the mail office you should wear something more suitable. sure it's just BestBuy but yeah you should tuck in the shirt. I use to work for Best Buy. I wore a short-sleeve button, jeans, and worn in sneakers. I got the job. |
