I am feeling guilty about my work habits. I never feel like I work hard enough and am always thinking of ways to get out of work. I know the obvious answer - change my habits. But I have tried and am not successful. I do love my job and wouldn't want to give it up. I've felt this way about every job I've ever had. I was just wondering if anyone else feels this way and what have you done (or not done) about it.
Make a goal that's job oriented. Like getting a promotion in 6 months, handling a project or making one and sees that it gets done, a 10% raise or simply getting to know the cute receptionist. You just need direction and it is understandable that the redundancy of work tends to demotivate us. Making goals and plans will get you doing some thing new that will affect your attitude towards work. Most people hate their jobs, you're lucky that you love yours. Make the most out of it. I actually hate my job because I have nothing to do. Maybe you need to change jobs and the routine a little bit Or try to do something that will motivate you like dancing. Something that will make you feel happy and give you more energy. If you like your job but you aren't motivated to do it then maybe it's something more serious. Maybe you should look into seeing a counselor. You may not realize that you may have depression. A lot of people confuse depression for feeling sad but really it's just a hormonal imbalance that usually sucks the fun out of things people usually enjoy. It's pretty similar to diabetes. Of course it can be far more serious but there are different types. Good Luck! Changing habits is one of the hardest things to do in life but that doesn't mean its unattainable.
