What's your best advice to get ahead for a young professionl starting out in the corporate world? Work your butt off, and learn as much as you can about your job in a very short period of time. The more you impress your boss the quicker you move up the ladder. If you are ambitious and truly want to get ahead,I would suggest you explore starting your own business asap. Why work to help another man achieve his dreams, when you could devote the same level of effort and committment to achieving yours? I know, it's hard to imagine life without the corporate paycheck. Well im new to the coorporate world and they tell me to: Network Be likeable And someone said at times you have to rub elbows with people and.. well BASICALLY what he is saying be nice to people and get on their good side, you don't necessarily have to like them, just as long as YOU are likeable and you will get what you want, and get ahead I guess. And learn as much as you can and take advantage of what they offer.. if they will pay your tuition for studying something that will benefit them, then do that.. thats free schoolin' girl. you have t have the money at first but they will pay you back. Get in the habit of saving and investing while you're young. Build that retirement nest egg. Never feel that you are going to be doing the same thing for the next 30 years. Keep your eyes open for new opportunities. |
