Do you get restless while at work?


I am going crazy sitting at a desk all day. I never knew it could be so hard sitting in the same place all day. I feel like I am in jail and serving a sentence. Eight hours a day sitting in the same place without the ability to move is so difficult.

Is it just me or are other people restless at work?

If you can't take a break and walk around, I don't blame you. If you have the skills and can afford it, try a different line of work and evaluate the compromise. If you can afford to do something else, go for it.

The pay cut you end up taking will be the price of your freedom. Try your hand at your own business, consider something like opening a restaurant, running a shop, or something that will let you be active.
I've been doing it for years with no problem. Maybe you're an outdoors person (many are) and you're doing the wrong job now :-(
I feel just like you do. I am trying to come up with an escape plan!
Sometimes yeah. For me it depends on what I've got going on. If I'm real busy I can lose myself in my work and the day flies by (thankfully)...other days feel like they will never end and I keep thinking of all the (more active) things I could be doing rather than keeping my chair warm.
