Job position change?

Okay, right now I am kennel tech at Huron Animal Hosital and I only have been working for 4 months. My boss offered me to also to part time receptionist due to needing one and plus she has seen me take charge of the boarding all by myself for the past three weeks. Should I make the transfer to become a full time receptionists? Or should I take both the positions but ask my boss for a higher raise in order to do two jobs? FYI: I like taking care of the dogs all day, but it's so much hard work and plus being a receptionist is alot easier even though I get to put up with people's crap instead of stubborn dogs. Is this a good Idea?

Which one would make you happier? We can't make this decision for you. Just think what would make you happier. And yes, if you are going to be doing two jobs now don't ask for a raise ask if your getting one. Just say does this new position come with a pay increase? That way it doesn't sound like your demanding it and if he he really needs a secretary it will show him that your are thinking about it.
