Is working a cash register complicated? |
All the different buttons and things..it looks like complicated to scan somthing and total up the price? And are all registers the same(restaurants, grocery stores, ect) Not really. The hard part is learning all the different ways to "undo" things. How to back out of a transaction for example. Most registers are pretty easy and you could get the hang of it in a day or 2. They are like anything else - the more you use them, the better you get! Hope this helps! Not hard to use at all. But not all establishments use the same type of cash registers. Some use a card that youscan to get you into the system and everything is done on a touchscreen where everything is already prepriced and prelisted. Some registers are the scanning type where you need to scan your product in via bar code. Then there is your old timey register with just numbers that almost resembles an old typerwriter where you have to punch everything in including tax. But it all really depends on the establishment. i don't really know but of course, it will be difficult and confusing the first time. you'll be panicking most of the time because you don't want to upset the customers. but then after a few days you'll get used to it... i think it's really easy because you just scan the products and the computer will be the one to add up the prices and you'll probably get used to which buttons to use when it's already routinary. |
