What is the best way to turn in a HUGE job application? |
I am turning in a job ap. that is probably more then 20 pages long. Do I put it in a manila envelope? a beige file folder? a fancy presentation folder from staples? or just staple it all together? Which is the most noticeable yet least annoying? any other suggestions? Wow tough question. Since we arent sure about the format they want - stapled, bound, loose, binder clip, how about we ask? HR folks would rather you ask and get it right than guess and get it wrong. It shouldn't make a difference on whether you get the job or not BUT it's never too soon to be safe. As far as the fanciness goes, I prefer function over form. No matter how thick the paper or expensive it feels, I still look at what is on it as the indicator whether this is a good candidate or not. Hope this helps! It's their application right? Not something you put together? No fancy presentation folder or staples - annoying. I would go with the manila envelope. Honestly the company is prolli not going to look at how pretty the envelope or folder is that you have turned in. Best bet is to call the company and ask them how the want it turned in. ex career counselor |
