How much does an electric engineer earn in your country?

I'm assuming you mean an Electrical Engineer, which requires a bachelor degree (and not an electrician, which is a trade job).

Here in the states, there is a wide salary range depending on the type of work you do and how long you've been in your field. Also, this country has a big variation in cost of living, so salaries have a broad range based on location.

I'd say in a city, you could expect to make $50,000 coming out of college, less in a town or rural area. I know an EE who works for the federal government and is nearing retirement age who makes at least $150,000 (I don't know exactly how much). But at this point in his career, he sits at a desk and makes decisions and leads a large group of people based on his engineering knowledge and experience.

Where are you?
