Working full time? |
im hoping to get a full time in the next few weeks but im unsure of where to apply to. id prefer some sort of admin job, office work but i need a job with 拢140000 minimum!!! im 19, straight out of college and ive only had one temp job for 5 months over 3 years ago!!! where should i apply to etc?????? I think your salary requirements are reasonable, if you are willing to work for it and shop around for a good job. A painful trawl through the internets many job sites is probably going to have to be faced at some point, search terms like "trainee" might well help. Another area worth considering is that many big companies are stepping up their in house training schemes rather than increasingly graduate recruitment, so that they can groom their own talent accordingly. Dependent on grades, if you can appear enthusiastic, you sound like a good candidate! I would try looking at the major banks sites for starters, training schemes normally start between 拢14-17k. Job centre. go for a job in an employment agency that way u will get some commission as well as a basic which if u r good enough will be over 14k Try your local newspaper first, or the job centre. Then there are websites such as Gumtree (which are better in some towns than others). Or try your college's career service. Not sure you'll get 拢14,000 straight out of college with no real work experience though. You'll be competing with students who have just finished Uni with a degree and probably some work experience. They'll be lucky to get 拢14,000 in some cases. Have a look through the jobs supplement in your local newspaper each week, search online jobs-boards and register at all the agencies in your area which deal with office work. However, depending on where you live, it might be difficult to find a job which pays 拢14k a year at the age of 19 and with limited experience, unless you go for some kind of job where you can get commission or work longer hours. If you can convince an employer that you are worth 拢140,000 a year you must be something special. By gawd girl you live in a dream world don't you- a council place and a good job straight out of college with only having had one job. Sorry honey- its start at the bottom and work up- that kind of salary is a tall order for your age group. I suggest you get yourself a good C.V. put together and get yourself to the job centre - or look on the job centres plus website, then get to some of the agencies in the area. You have to apply for jobs- they don't just land on the doormat unfortunately so get out there and getting looking and applying- good luck. |
