Question for employers?

For the employers.... if you have a part time clerical position open somewhere and you are giving 2 different times of the day to pick to work which are 8-12PM or 1PM-5PM.... would you let a person work 8-12 on Tuesday and Thursdays and then 1-5 on mondays and wednesdays so it will fit their schedules if they go to college??

sure, as long as the other person is willing to switch hrs and days too. I would not have a problem with it. Source(s): me, small business owner.
If it is a receptionist/front desk type position, my guess is they have someone else to work the other shift, which is why they only need you for 1/2 days. So it would probably depend on whether the person working the other shift is willing to alternate with you.
On the other hand, if it's not a position where you have to deal with people, I can't see any reason why they would care if you alternated. Many employers are happy to work around college student schedules, and if this one isn't, it's probably not the right job for you anyway. Good luck!
Some employers can be flexible, however, the issue is with the person working the other shift. I would imagine they would ask you to speak with that person and ask if they would mind working 1-5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8-12 on Mondays.
