Five ways for a teen to make money? |
for at least a year now ive been trying to get a job at a store but no one wants to hire me because im only 16. wat are some other ways to make money? 1. Mow lawns, or pull weeds in gardens. 2. Babysit. 3. Walk dogs for busy people. 4. Wash windows. (For businesses or homes.) 5. If you are good in school, tutor. When you go to these businesses, are you dressed nicely, conservatively, with little makeup? Do you have personal references from teachers, ministers, or others who will vouch for your integrity? Are you going in and just asking if they are hiring, or are you asking to have a moment of the managers time? Ask to see the manager, and then tell them how much you like their store, how the products interest you, and that you would like the opportunity to work your hardest for them. You will get much better results than just asking for an application. When you get an application, fill it out there, completely and very legibly, and take it back to the manager (waiting if they are busy) and personally thank them for considering you. You are much more likely to get an interview that way. Good luck. One more thing. As an older person, I can tell you that any tattoos, piercings (other than ears) and bare skin (tummies or backsides) are VERY OFF-PUTTING, and you need to cover them up or take out any nose, lip or other piercings before you even go in the store.
