Should I mention my University's standards in my resume? |
I did my Masters in the UK, at a very reputable university, one of the leading in the field of advertising. Should I mention this in my resume, next to the University's name, or would that sound arrogant? That would sound arrogant. In your cover letter, mention that you graduated from the prestigous school of such and such. But if you're school is that well-known, you shouldn't have to mention the prestige, especially in the advertising industry. Instead, offer a portfolio of your work and projects. I think if you have scored high and you are new in the market, mentioning your grade point works. But if you are comfortable I think its better to avoid it and mention your strengths. No, do not list that. It is not the place to present that. It is likely that they know, or will have colleagues who know. You'll want to find an opening in your interview dialogue to interject something brief. |
