If i go into a career as a video game designer, would i be paid a good amount? |
Any idea of how much per hour and also if the job will be hard, easy, or medium Well, you'd certainly make more than if you were flipping burgers at McDonalds. However, in general, the game industry pays somewhat poorly when compared to the rest of the computer industry. The hours are long, the deadlines are crushing. Burnout is commonplace. Source(s): Friend of mine used to work for Capcom. I've worked in the computer industry (networking, mainly) for 10+ years. There are also a number of books about working in the video game industry. I'd recommend checking them out as they give you a realistic view of what to expect, and how to get into the industry. If you get fee for video games you have developed or you're selling your own video games... and you're successful on it... then yes, you're income is not limited though... if you want to be payed good, then you have to develop for the market, which means designing video games that you may not want to design... (so you'd be doing that for the money)... There are great video game designers who do many things, that means they don't just design video games, but also create websites and communities for the gamers. you may start with searching for information what type of business people run... let say home business http://www.freetomanifest.com/money/affo... and then find where video game designer career would fit in... I hope this helped! |
