Do not lie you will be caught out I do find these questions on application forms a bit unfair to school leavers what I tell them when they come into my shop is try to apply it to times in your life ie: school, clubs etc
right I will give you basic ideas of what to say
1) Think of this from your point of view as a customer what do you want in service when you go in a shop? Polite staff, knoweldgable about products they sell, friendly etc they will know from your application that you haven't had another job but if you have sold at a fete etc that can help (personally as long as a interviewee can talk through customer sevice it wouldn't matter for school leavers)
2)What do you know about HMV do you visit the shop? The website has lots of info about the company and products it sells don't be afraid to research the company the more you know the more it comes out in the application and interview, do you like films? music? games? you probably know lots but don't think about it, do know about 1 more than the other?
3)This has gotten trickier shince a lot of shops are internet based now not just the highstreet who do you think are their competition? and why are they better or worse?
4)Again if you haven't delt with this don't lie state that you haven't and explain what you would do eg prioritising tasks, asking for assistance if you don't think it is going to be completed, talk to your manager about the task
5)You usually don't get scored on this but it gives the interviewer an idea of your motivation if you want to work in hosipitality you are going to need customer service skills just as much as you do in retail so this is a good point to make.

I hope the suggestions help you and good luck
just try this yourself im no good at applications, just sit down and think about what the questions mean to u and what u would say because if you take anybody else is ideas and you do get and interview and what your saying doesn鈥檛 match up with your application then there going to figure it out.
