Am i doomed to a meaning less job forever? |
I was working as a installation spc for this company, i went through a whole lot of crap with them(not payin me, and changeing my wage)I travel all over the u.s doing work for them(made them 77million dollars). The thing is i hate doing this job and about 2 months ago i decided to pursue my passion. The school cost like 8grand.I have saved up about 4g.I felt to be fair i would nottify my company and tell them when my last day was, so they could find a replacement for me.I guess they were offened and told me that after next week they wouldnt need me anymore.Which really messes me over because now i wont have enough for college and my ex messed up my credit so i wont be able to get a loan.I wont be able to get a co-signer either.I am 24 and its looking something like a factory job for the rest of my life, cause i cant figure this crap out. First, go to the financial aid office at the school and apply for federal loans and a Pell Grant. I don't know if you will qualify but you should always try. Do not give up on school. Can you go part time and work part time? Most colleges have flex. programs. Beware of tech schools. Some of my friends got into them and ended up owing a large sum of money. Can you go to a community college? They tend to be a lot less expensive and more willing to work with your schedule. Keep you chin up. Best of luck. No offense, but your " Woe is ME!" attitude is making me nauseous! Suck it up, Son! EVERY problem has an answer to it! Thomas Alva Edison Failed over 800 times in his quest to perfect the light bulb, but had he the attitude you're displaying right now, we'd all still be reading by CANDLELIGHT!!!!!! No, it won't be easy, but if it was it wouldn't be as ultimately satisfying as when you fight and push your way through to the solution, and enjoy the SUCCESS that'll be yours at the end! Do it! Congratulations, ur 24 and have ur life ahead of u. get off ur pity party and change. how? start with the realization where u are at today won't matter 5, 10 or 20 yrs from now unless u use today's situation to anchor/drag u down . all of the most successful peoples have failed or had problems. they didn't use them as anchors around them to drown them. u've learned some hard lessons - just don't repeat them. go out and hit the pavement - get a job next week don't care what as long as u make money for ur bills. then visit library bookstore get 48 days to work u love, what colour is ur parachute, the millionaire next door, rich dad- poor dad, Think and Grow Rich Blacks Choice, financial peace revisited. read understand ACT on the info learned. understand poor people got excuses , u have reasons. ex street bum, biz owner now |
