Career in media production? |
Hi, I am a 15 year old interested, along with some other career tracks, in what I guess is called media production. Do companies exist which create and edit video, photo, and audio for clients and put together media projects for them? kind of an all in one studio idea? What kind of undergraduate degree would this require, and is this is a plausible idea at all? What are good colleges for this type of media work? Thank you I think your term "media production" is a very good one and that this is a very viable career to go into. I believe you will have some choice as to how to get educated in this. One would be to go to a technical school and the other would be to go to a college or university. In college, your degree might be one in the Mass Communications department or perhaps in art. When you look at schools, ask an advisor in the admissions department what options the school offers. As far as what schools you might consider, I can't recommend one. For one thing, your location would probably enter into your choice and for another, well, I don't really know. Good luck to you--I hope you have a bright future in whatever career you choose. |
