What is the next job for me considering my education, goals, and background? |
By the time I was 21 I had become an account manager with a security companymaking 45K/yr. Left that after five years with the company because I don't like employees and being on call 24/7. Got into college and roofing. 2 years until I graduate with a bachelors degree in business administration. Roofing was dangerous and the weather sucked but it did pay good, though I left it for an office job that was better until they wanted me to start traveling which conficted with school. Left that to stay in school and got into security again making 17/hr but my schedule is constantly changing and putting my education and my relationship with my soon to be fiance in jeopardy. So I am getting a degree in business in a couple years, have a background in construction, management, and security. Ultimately I want to be in business for myself. Construction pays better until I graduate, but office work is what my degree will be in. What should I do? Any trade other than roofing I can get into? Look for work related to your education (office). Unless you want to go into construction altogether. With your educational background skills, that you will have, I hope you are taking some courses in how to run a business office and management. You sound like if you want to make more money than $17 an hour. Work for yourself and then hire a very good competent employee related supervisor. And have him check back with you..............of course you will be paying him more that $17 an hour, but you will be making hopefully $200 an hour, if you play it right and more! Just be on the ball and ready for anything and everything. Investigate and purchase lots of security cameras and equipment to "watch the watcher"...... Then you'll make googles of dinero. Self employed......Owner, managment, new construction, real estate, tax office........spent most of my time "Watching the Watcher".........go buy the book! |
