As a teen, have you ever been taken advantage of @ work? |
When I was 17, I used to work @ Popeye's, & there was this male manager who used to overwork me & cheat me out of my paychecks. & also, he would try to flirt @ all of the women & if you didn't feed into his flirting, then you'd get no paycheck plus extra work & no meal discounts. When I reported him to the manager above me, she fired me in order to prevent Popeye's from getting sued. I didn't know any better then. Now I'm 23. I was told I had a right to sue Popeye's, but I didn't know the laws of the workforce @ that time. One of my foster sisters went through that experience, too, but she was working @ Mc Donald's. Yeah it's too bad, but some older people prey on unknowing victims. If you could locate these same people (predictors), you'll find them still taking advantage of young victims. They may have been on "To catch a Pedictor" already. They don't stop, until they are caught. Check back aowner, all she did was give me a copy of her stupid book. and see where these scumbags are. I was harrassed at a cooking school by a student and informed the assistant at the school, he told me that I couldnt prove anything. I then asked for a meeting with the owner, all she did was give me a copy of her stupid book. ...... I end up quiting because I hated the student.....I contacted the Veteran affairs and they investigated (because I had a federal loan).....the assistant was right, I couldnt prove anything, but what came next was just as vindicating....... Apparently the IRS was introduced and the school had more than harrassment from female students. Their records were investigated and the school was shut down!! So drop a dime on the jerks(old slang for call authorities) if you can locate them. If they are located, if anything, they will find something else on them! Predictors never correct their attitudes. They think they are too cool to get caught. Otherwise just use the past as a learning experience and in the future, at the first sign of abuse, call the big authorities with power, if the little people won't take care of business. You know, they do the same thing to poor illegal aliens. That's why they hire them. I suspect this is why they hire youngsters and have the older US citizens prsonnel that they hire, sweeping up and emptying garbage cans????? Source(s): personal experience yup. all the time. |
