What should I wear on my job interview? |
I am going to be going on a job interview at Kinko's and I am not sure what to wear. All the other jobs I went on, I was overdressed because I seen other people go on job interviews after I started working there and they all had jeans and stuff on. Also, if they ask me stupid questions like "Why do you want to work here?", what should I say? The only reason I want a job is to make money and that doesn't sound right on a job interview. try mixing casual with business: a business jacket with a knee-length denim skirt or something. since it's just kinko's, it shouldn't have to be too formal or anything... and when they ask 'why do you want to work here?', just tell them some of the skills you have that would help kinko's. maybe you're good at organizing? you work well with computers? hope this helped! <3 Business suit. If they let you wear jeans to work, that's fine. The interview is the time for you to be on your best behavior. Why do you want to work there? Just for the money? I don't think so. Think about it. There are plenty of places to earn money. You can make a LOT more money as a plumber's assistant than you can working at Kinkos. Be creative. The reason you want to work there is because it is a dynamic company that is on the forefront of technology. They are providing leading edge solutions to their business and consumer customers' problems. (If you want to work odd hours), the company's operating hours perfectly align with your personal work preferences. Remember that they are interested in what you can do for them, not what they can do for you. Good luck, and do them a good job, if you get hired. Watch your grammar, though. You should dress one level up from the standard of the company. If the company is casual, wear business casual, if its business casual, wear business professional; etc... As for the why work here question, come up with something simple. If its a basic customer service job you can say you like the customer service industry, think kinkos is a great company and think the job will give you experience that will help you in your career. smart casual I'd say, not so casual and not so formel. If they ask you why you want to work here, say the truth, you may say "I like the system here, I like that everything is organised and nice, people here are decent, I like to ..... (tell what you'll be doing) and ofcourse money-wise. You can ask yourself this question and write down the answers, besides the money thing what else made you ask for that particular job at Kinko's Wear a suit made of paper. Wear what you would wear to work. Tell them you like that kind of work. When they ask you why you want to work there say a few of these lines: -I enjoy working with people -I want to gain experince in this field -I really enjoy working with computers/printers -I want to be able to share my knowledge my skills with the public WHAT TO WEAR: Dress pants, kaki's, black pants (no jeans 4 an interview) dress shirts, button up, collar, fitted. this is casual but dressy. |
