Morrisons Job Interview?

hmm..i sent an application form and a cv to morrisons a few weeks after i recieved a letter from them asking me to come for a job interview..which was 2day. i think it went okay. she said we will write to you between 7-10 days. i believe this is a way 2 say you havent gt the job...anyone had previous experience of this? and what was the outcome?
thanxs =]

For most decent jobs, the employer will not make a decision there and then. Morrison's are considered to be a good employer and the interviewer told you a definite procedure.

Just enjoy the next week and try not to dwell on the outcome too much (easier said than done, I suppose!). Most interviewers make their decision before you even walk through the door - I know I do when I am interviewing someone, human nature. If you are feeling positive about the interview, then chances are that it went OK and you will be offered the job.

It'll all turn out fine. Best of luck!
Mate getting a job is a numbers game sometimes like telemarketing. Sometimes you can walk in off the street and because the company is desperate at that time, you will be straight in. Remember, you dint know what is going on in the line mangers head at the time he may have had 3 staff hand in their notice that day, which reminds me of a time when I was going to hand in my notice and my desk was right out side my mangers office.... I was trying to pluck up the courage when a work colleague walked by and i asked what was he doing and he said I am going to hand in his notice; this threw me so I thought I would wait an hour before I would hand in my notice, then another work colleague walked by and said he was going to hand in his notice too...... i didn't wait after him I can tell you; I was straight in there. So boss lost 3 employees within an hour and a half. I bet he was very keen to find some available staff after that.
This doesn't mean you haven't got the job they have to interview everyone the rang and discuss the answers you gave this can take time believe me. I have worked in retail for 13 years and have had first hand experience of this from an interviewee and interviewer don't be discouraged.
saying they would contact you in 7-10 days is not a guarantee that you have the job I'm afraid, so be careful not to rely on this. But it does not mean that you have not succeeded and have the job. But i wish you the best of luck and keep trying.
