I have gape of 4 years because of poor health after car accident. What the best way to explain this gap?

Tell the truth. When a company sees an employment gap, it is suspicious of possible failures or problems that could resurface if you take a job with that company.

Don鈥檛 bring up the gap in employment unless you are directly asked to explain it in the job interview.

Many companies recognize that because of downsizing and mergers that are taking place in the workplace today, many job seekers have gaps of time during which they were unemployed. If your employment was caused by such an event, explain it without being defensive. No matter what the cause of your unemployment, acknowledge the positive aspects of the experience, such as your increased networking connections and perspective on the industry or your chance to spend time taking a college course.

Peace and blressings!
The best way to answer the question is to bring the proof to the table to back up what your saying. First of all explain the situation briefly and as your explaining pass the old doctors notes with the dates on them to show date and time reflecting that period in your life. Make sure you inform your new employer that you have pass this stage. They will so you as being honest and efficient.
Leave the time frame off your resume, give start and end dates for the prior and next jobs. If there is no next job just leave it with the start and end dates of the last employment. At interview explain the gap was due to recovery from a car accident. I wouldn't mention the poor health, just leave it with the auto accident and try to emphasize you have no lingering trouble from it. You are not required to disclose existing medical or physical conditions prior to employment.
