i've done computer eng. but i'm not interested in doing an IT job as i'm not just inclined in it, so now for 1 year i prepared for mba entrance & i'm just finished with my exams.but still i'm half hearted abt mba as i don't know if i'll find it suitable or again i'll be reapeating my eng. mistake....'coz unless & until u go through the course it's difficult to know anything even others opinion is useless as they have different mind & most of them just do it for money without any choice. by the way i've also got selected for a bank job & i'm interested in it but family & all are against it as it's not related to my field & also they find it below dignity... they tell me to either take an it job or go for mba & then compulsarily work in it.. i'm in a real fix ... should i take up this bank job or go for mba .... uncertain ....
If the bank job appeals to you go for it as you don't sound convinced by your MBA course. If you do well at the bank you could well get them to sponsor you to do an MBA and advance your career in a specific direction too. Do not give too much credence to your family's views as to what you should do - it is your life and you have every right to choose how to live it without their interference.
