Im a teen looking for a summer job? |
well im 13years old and im going into grade 8 i want to look for a summer job like babysitting, pet care, anything like that will be fine. do you guys have any advice, tips, ideas about this? do you think there's another job simular to this? im pretty short and small for my age so i dont want people to think its child labour or anything like that..please give me ideas..i dont know where to get started ps, i did do the papers before, and im not doing it again!!lol thanks Uhhh... yeah, if your in the US, your kinda to young to work, cause most places hire people that are in high school in up. But, I don't wanna ruin your day so here's a great tip: Find a job that you like, somewhere fun and exciting, I mean, no one wants to work as like a dish washing person... And when getting a summer job, on your interview, they'll probably ask you why you want that job. Dress nicely, but the #1 mistake is... NEVER OVERDRESS!!! Wow... I saw some guy getting an interview for McDonalds, and he had on a suit, a tie, and wow... big mistake... Dress as you normally would, and be yourself... Oh, and if they ask you why you want the job, don't say: "I'm bored and need something to do" or "I need to make money." Yeah, my sister got a summer job at Wild Rivers, try going there, cuz there's great benefits, and if you work there, everything is like 80 percent off for you, and you get to go to parties and stuff. My sister just went to an iParty two days ago, it's like a party for Wild River's employees, and you can win istuff and other cool stuff Anyways, hoped I helped a little bit!!! If you have a local country club, try caddying. In the state of Michigan at least, you can legally caddy as young as age 11. Pay isn't bad, and it's lots of fresh air/walking/exercise. Might also get you some really good college scholarships if you do it for several years and keep your grades up. -->Adam |
