Retail Job situation, do you think this would be okay? |
I worked at a very popular store here in Chicago for about 3 weeks last year (it's been 9 months) and left because I really didn't like the retail and the bosses treated me very poorly. I left on my lunch break and never went back, haven't stepped foot in the store since. Since it has been a long time would it be considered okay for me to go shopping in there again if I wanted? I don't know if the same people still work there. More than likely, most of the employees do mot work there. Retail always has a big turnover. Also why stress if anyone still works there. No one will know what circumstances you left anyway. If you do see someone, don't go running over to say hi!... just go about your business and no one will even notice. If someone sees you and runs over to you to say hi, be cordial and respecting and say, you have an appointment and must run,. Or you could just stay and if anyone asks what happened, say why do you ask? This usually puts someone in their place. You do not owe any one an explanation. I really doubt if any one will bring any thing up, or notice you in there. So go a head and Remember, DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!!!! How long is a long time? Usually the store and assistant manager will be there for 2-3 years sometimes. If you left of bad terms, it would just make things awkward. But it doesn't matter, if they still work there, they have to treat you as a customer with good customer service. Of course you can. In the future though, if you don't like a job, have the decency to quit, not to just run away and never go back. You dont work there anymore and they have to treat you as a customer. On another note the turnover is so high that this happens all the time and will no likely remember you. Yeah, you can shop there. Dont feel bad about it. They treated you bad, so you quit. your money spend the same as it did be for you work. |
