Do businesses prefer Customer service, or Sales experience?

I am trying to find a job for experience, and here are my two options:
Customer service, and Retail sales/cashiering.
I want to get experience so that I can apply for jobs that require such experience, but from job searching it seems that employers list C.S. or Sales.... not both. So should I go for that retail job, or the Customer service job? Which would pay off in the long run? To further this question, I am in college for Business, and one day I want to be a financial planner, or bookkeeper. Decisions!

I suggest a sales job. That's how I did it. I started as a floor salesman and rose to various sales, marketing support, and general management positions. Exciting job. Lots of challenges and good income.

Peace and blessings!
Have you attented a recruitment seminar before? Why don't you hear it out first. likely you can make your own decision by then.
