HELP they asked me to write an essay: Why you want to work here..and why you feel you are the best candidate? |
I can write fairly well. I just have never written an essay about myself and a company.. any good ideas? well, why do you want to work there?? and Why do you feel that you are the best candidate. These are very simple questions. THINK!!!!! even if you are applying for a job at mcdonalds, you can say something like I'm eager to work for a world leader in the fast food industry, recognized for innovative thinking, charity work, and brilliant marketing. I feel that I am the best candidate, because ai am enthusiastic, and a true people person wjo understands the concerpt of providing excellent customer service at all times. now, its like 4 am, and i just bullshitted about half of what you would need to say, just off the top of my head. You could then add something like, I just read that Mcdonalds just sold their 10 billionth hamberger, In India. I think it really is amazing that mcdonalds managed to become so sucessful in a country where cows are worshipped!! Something, anything..just to show the company that you know something about what they are doing!! Look on their website for their misson statement / credo and base it around how your skills and personality addresses this. Look for hints on what they require and look for in their staff and demonstrate how you can meet these requirements. Good luck. Start with a paragraph about why you think you would like to work at that job. The next paragraph talk about you, your values, your interests as it relates to the job and other aspects of your abilities that would help with your job This can be 3-5 paragraphs. The last paragraph is a summary paragraph that tells a short story of everything you just wrote in all the paragraphs before. Tips: talk about your people skills, talking to others and other parameters of your personality that would make you a great choice for the job. Don't forget that you are eager to learn what you don't know. Don't forget, once you get the job, do the things that you mentioned- otherwise you have deceived your employer. Good Luck, Jim first try and make a list of all the things u like about the company u wanna work in.....then make a list of all the things u are good at (your talents pertaining to your work place).....then try and club them - what the company requires and how your talents can benefit it |
