Help Interview in a few Hours!!??

I have an interview today and its a grocery store. I was wondering what I should wear? What will he ask me? What should I expect?

Wear - Business casual. Clean and neat, with no heavy makeup (none at all if you're a guy) and very little jewelry.

What will he ask you -- Are you sure it will be a he? Don't go in with any pre-conceived notions. Be prepared to answer questions about why you would be a good clerk (or whatever position you are going for). How does your previous experience apply here, etc.

What should you expect. Each interview is a little different. Sometimes there is one person, sometimes more. Sometimes you sit across from them, sometimes it is at a desk, sometimes at a table etc.

What you need to really do is focus on attitude -- Smile when you come in, Explain why you are there when you arrive (I just watched an episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels where 3 or 4 people didn't indicate they were there for the interview. I am sure Gene wrote them off pretty much right from the beginning) Firm handshake -- 2 or 3 shakes is about right. Act confident, even if you don't feel it, but not cocky.

Good Luck! And here are some links to visit in preparation.

Don't forget the thank you letter -- write it as soon as you leave and mail it that day so it arrives the next day -- you will stand out above the rest. Source(s): http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/interview...
Wear something comfortable yet decent and just be yourself.
Personally, I believe that regardless of the KIND of job you're interviewing for, you should always look your absolute best. Go into the interview looking like a professional. Wear the best clothes you own, even if that's a suit. No, you won't dress that way to go to work in a grocery store, but the interviewer should be able to see that you have a professional attitude and you're serious about getting the job.

He'll ask you about your past jobs, why you want to work for this company, and maybe even "why should I hire you". Just be yourself and be relaxed!

Good luck with the interview!
