Does it have to be two weeks notice? I'm not a full-time or even part-time employee, just pool.? Nope; things just go smoother if you do. No, in this case yo do not have to give any notice. Just call and let them know that you are no longer available. If you want a good reference and the possibility of working for them again, yes you should give 2 weeks notice. If plans have changed and you can't help it, explain that to your boss and apologize for the short notice. Good Luck. it would be nice to give a 2 week notice just in case u need to go back to that job. You don't have to give a notice to anywhere you work. It just looks better if you do, especially if you want to work for them again down the road. I'd say if you know for sure you never ever want to work there then don't give a notice. Don't know what pool is, but giving 2 week notice is "proper etiquette" when leaving an employer, it's not mandated by federal laws.
