Is a electrician a good job?

Is a electrician a good job?

Electricity isn't going anywhere, electricians will always be needed and my father-in-law has made it half of his business for over 30 years.

So to answer your question, yes.
if your self employed. loads of money
If it makes you happy and gets food on the table it's a good job. Look for one of those and you'll live a good life :)
Yes but try and get into industrial electrics instead as it pays more than house bashing which is very menial.
Getting a journeyman's electrician's license is about the smartest thing a young person can do. You have to log alot of hours as an apprentice - which means low pay for a few years. But once it is behind you, you have it for life. There is work everywhere. You can pull wire while you get a college education. You can work when you want and go to classes when you want. It is a solid foundation and a great stepping stone. Get it.
Its a brilliant job if you are provided to put in the work to get the qualification. My son qualified a couple or three years ago now and is never short of work and pretty much can command what pay he earns. He has a regular job with a company with good pay and benefits and as much work as he can manage outside of his job. Go for it.
It is if you are good at it and can get a reputation of good service quality and fair prices.
