Has anyone on here worked as a bank teller? |
I applied, and I pretty sure I going to get it ..I applied for Bank of America as a teller, I just want to to know what's it like?or what was your experence like? I worked at Bank of America as a teller 2 years ago and worked my way up. There are times where I hated it but stuck it out because the people there made my time more enjoyable. There is def. tons of room for advancement and you learn alot about banking and finance which will help you out in the long run for finance careers. What I didn't like were the mean, picky customers, how repetitive it can get during high traffic times and balancing your cash can. The difficult part I'd say is balancing your can. It's an easy thing to do but once you start getting the hang of it and working more quickly, you need to REALLY pay attention to what you're doing, otherwise, it'll screw you up in the end. Overall, I'd say that it was a good experience. You do have the bad days and also the good but thats with every job. Good luck! Source(s): Me...I used to work there. I worked for B of A back in the late 80's. It was a decent job. I enjoyed the clients. The hardest part was making sure the cash can balanced at the end of the day (which isn't really THAT hard), and dealing with the Friday afternoon check cashing rush. Good luck! |
