I have been working at a job for only a few weeks?

my friend and i have been wanting to go camping for a long time and in a few weeks is the only time available. i need to ask for 2 days off. how do i go about asking since i havent been there very long and its on the 10th of august?

Honestly what means more to you the camping or the job? You need to be accountable to your job and not screw it up by taking off to go play in the woods! HA H just kidding! You go in and tell them that you have to take your mom to another state so your family can take care of her in the coming months. Or you can say that you have to go pick her up in the other state and that you willnot be able to make in fo rthose two days. Or you you just say that hey I had this pre-existing time set aside and that you need tohave it off. Act really sick the day before and call in sick with the flu for both days and this gives you time to get ahead in your work prior to leaving.
Either way good luck!
You don't ask if you want to keep the job.
Doesn't hurt to just ask!! When I had my first job, my boss wouldn't let me off. So I quit. Jobs now days are plentiful.
Maybe you could switch with some co-workers. I usually tell them when they offer if I have time off planned.
Most company's have a policy where you have a certain number of vacation hours, which can amount to a number of days off from work. Just simply talk to your boss about it. I'm sure two days won't be hard to come by even if you've only just started. In my opinion, it's better to ask your boss, than just taking two sick days.
most employers understand that you have a life outside of work. just ask. if they get al nuts about it, they're not real good people to work for. i would ask now though. better to ask further in advance to give them time to cover your time off, than to hit them last minute and making them scramble to find someone to cover you.
If you've only been on the job for only a few weeks, I wouldn't ask for 2 days off so soon.

If you really want to go, I'd make up an excuse like "It's my parent's xx wedding anniversary and they are renewing their vows in xxx location and I was wondering if I can take August xxx- August xx to participate in their wedding?"

It's better than saying that you want to go camping.

Just my two cents.
