Drug test on third interview? |
I applied at a grocery store. Ive had two interviews with the company. On the second interview they gave me a drug test, using a cotton swab of the saliva from my mouth. The test came out good, i had no drugs in my system. Its been some weeks since they called me. Today i got a call for a third interview tommorow. And like an idiot ive smoked some marijuana during the past week. Im kinda nervous now....will they give me another drug test? Even if i past the last drug test they gave me? Should i go to the third interview? Yes go to the interview. Odds are they won't test you again. What have you got to lose? If they do request another drug test (which is doubtful) then just say you already had one and if they insist just walk out. Like I said you don't lose anything by showing up to the interview. If they already tested you then I dont see why they would do it again so soon. Dont be nervous, drink lots and lots of water and go to the interview so you can get the job :) Odds are they don't want to pay for two tests, so you're probably OK. Hopefully, next time you'll know to wait until after your post-hire probationary period. It's very unlikely they will ask for another test given you passed the first one. However, the company may do random drug tests for their employees, and if you give probable cause they can ask you to submit anytime if they have a drug-free workplace policy. 10+ years in HR. |
