What's a good word to replace "Characteristics" on a resume?

You can be more specific, i.e., administrative skills, management skills, or abilities, responsibilities, duties, tasks. Hope this helps.
How about- "Qualities" ?
Tailor your resume to the job, and list the strengths you have that relate to the job.

Use "Skills" or "Related Skills." Possibly "Related Interests" if they are really related (organizational affiliations, charities, etc.)

It's more likely that you won't have room for this on your resume, if you have any experience at all. You should NEVER go over one page... unless it is a CV (doctoral level position).
