My resume lists several different jobs. Should I modify it to show just the consulting work I've done? |
I'm seeking work as an Executive Administrative Assistant. I have excellent skills but have had about 8 jobs over the last few years. However, I have been doing consulting work off and on consecutively. How do I show this on a resume? I would list your consulting work as if it were just another job, but have the start and stop dates overlap those of your salaried jobs. For example: 1/00 to Present: Mary Jane's Consulting (your consulting work) 3/03 to 8/07: Salaried Job #1 (most recent) 5/02 to 3/03: Salaried Job #2 (second to last job) 2/01 to 5/02: Salaried Job #3 (third to last job) If you have references that can back-up your consulting work, that would also be helpful. Maybe a functional resume. WOW! silvaconsultants gave you good advice. Good luck with your job search. I suggest to list all of your employment history on the separate sheet (not resume) including all of the supervisors contact information. on the resume just put relevant information. you don't need to include irrelevant information. go to the library and find the book on resumes and you can put your resume there. the below link will be useful http://workathomejobssitelist.blogspot.c... . |
