Does anyone know what the dress code is when you work at dillards? |
Does anyone know what the dress code is when you work at dillards? Probably a 3 piece outfit, solid colors, preferably darker solid colors if you are going to wear slacks or dress pants. If you're going to wear a skirt, a solid color top with it as well, dress shoes and hosiery. This is what I had to wear when I worked at Macy's. Neat and Clean. I'm sure the dress code is different for different jobs--sales floor, warehouse, office, etc., and different departments may have different dress codes--maybe something very conservative but elegant (especially something black) when you work in the expensive/better dresses/designer women's department and something trendier and younger when you work in the junior department. Best bet: Go there and look at the salespeople. If they aren't too busy and you see someone about your age, ask! BTW, it's considered a smart career move to dress like the people a step higher on the pay scale--like your immediate supervisor. That makes it easier for your boss to picture you in a higher (better-paying) position. Don't spend a lot on new clothes b/c most people don't last too long there. |
