What career oportunities do I have with an Accounting degree? |
Both with and without a CPA. While the list below indicates position that have the top levels, they usually have staff and mid-managers that do not require a CPA license Budget-Manager/Administrator/D... any major industry including hospitals, banks, shipping, airline, transportation(trucking/rail), investment companies, government agencies, construction, engineering firms, major law firms, movie industry, pharmaceutical, and etc. Finance(cash-flow, investment, payroll, tax, checking accts) Manager/Administrator/Director... any major industry Auditor-Internal and external--CPA firms and almost any major industry Business ownership--Tax, CPA firm, and any business you have knowledge in. Education--professor-Junior College, College, University You can work for a CPA firm or any company from bookkeeper to CFO. Well as you know I am also going for my accounting degree because of the same issue as you were having...I love the health field and love numbers...I think that with your accounting degree you will be able to do pretty much anything...real estate (u will have to take that test too tho which is hard I hear), do any job related to accounting or finance...sales, office manager, billing, data entry, receptionist, administrative, forensics....hmmm something I have been thinking about...even computers believe that or not...my friend has her accounting degree and works for microsoft!!! She makes real good money too...I say the sky is the limit...you learn all aspects of the business and know the most important parts the employer needs help with so you will be a very valuable employee... |
