I have a question!?

Ok there is a place that posted a job on my school job website and I applied for it and everything and then I called called for an interview today to go in tomorrow. Well tonight I went back to that school job website and they had taken that job off of posting. I know they hadn't hired anyone yet though because on their main job website the position doesn't say "closed'. Well I was just wondering why they would take it off of posting? Thanks!

They may have enough ppl interested in the position, so there is no reason to keep it open! If there is only one position open and they have fifty ppl that have applied..know what I mean?
maybe they want to hire you! or maybe they don't want anyone else applying while they are in the process of interviewing you because, in case they hire you, they don't want to have a bunch of useless emails, or questions, or such. Or maybe it is simply a mistake by someone who thought the job was taken and is managing the website for the place.
