What is a respectable time to wait at an interview? |
I had an interview the other day. I was 25 minutes early so I had time to fill out the aplication and collect myself before the inerview. My interview was at 1:00 and I sat there for an hour without someone even comming up and saying were running late. I left after the hour because in my eyes I thought that if this is the way they treat possible employee prospects I could just emagine how they treat there employees. I need a job but I dont want to work for a company that does not care for employees. Am I wrong or was I right. There is never a time limit. If the position gets filled, they will let you know by letter. More times than not, employers get caught up doing other things. After the fact, they call for interviews. I have been a Branch Director, and I know this for certain. I was always turned off by folk who called too much; it comes across as being too impulsive. A good way to deal with it is to not expect anything and keep looking for a postion. Someone will call when you least expect it. Where did you get the application form from? Assuming it was an employee, you could've asked them where the interviewer was. They expect you to ask and then they would phone their office for them to come out. The interviewer wouldn't be poking his or head out every 5 seconds just to see if you were there waiting You should have told someone the reason why you were leaving, that way they would understand why you left and feel bad. |
