The five best ways to try to find a job, listed in order from lowest success rate to best, are:

1.Asking for job leads from: family members, friends, people in the community, staff at career centers -- especially at your local community college or high school or college where you graduated.

2.Knocking on the door of any employer, factory, or office that interests you, whether they are known to have a vacancy or not.

3.By yourself, using the phone book's Yellow Pages to identify subjects or fields of interest to you in the town or city where you are, and then calling up the employers listed in that field, to ask if they are hiring for the type of position you can do, and do well.

4.In a group with other job hunters, using the phone book's Yellow Pages to identify subjects or fields of interest to you in the town or city where you are, and then calling up the employers listed in that field, to ask if they are hiring for the type of position they can do, and do well.

5.Doing A Life-Changing Job-Hunt. A job hunt is just a job hunt until we come to that point in our lives where we want to set our feet upon a new path. When the traditional job hunt doesn't work very well at all. A life changing job hunt requires a different approach. You are contemplating radically shifting direction. This is called by various names. Sometimes it's called "Find Your Dream Job," Sometimes it is called "a career change."

Peace and every blessing!
A burger place. They'll take anyone.
Cleaning, kitchenwork, packing, running errands, gardening, babysitting, newspaper delivery are some of the jobs available. These jobs will be posted in local newspapers and billboards. Many businesses hesitate to employ minors because of the legal restrictions on working hours and documentation required.
A better option is to work from home on your computer - write articles, sell on eBay, make a website, take surveys. In some cases, you may have to set up an account in your parents or guardians name, and ask them to pay you, after they get the money for your work. keep trying and you need to act as though u want the job
Look in the classifieds only go where they need help. Trust me I am 29 and I have tried so many times at blockbuster at bestbuy, circuit city applying to them is just a waste of time oh yeah and stay away from Walmart they suck serious doggy doo doo. They are just a waste of time too. don't even bother with fast food restauarants although thats all I ever did at your age. I worked in restaurants as a dishwasher and busser these kinds of jobs suck and don't pay alot but it really does make you want to do better for yourself. Just look in the classifieds under employment and also look online in your state.. In the search engine type in finding a job in (your state), or Help wanted in (Your state) and you will see a whole world of opportunities out there for you
When looking for your first job, it's crucial you don't get fussy on what you want and don't want to do. The aim of a job is to earn money and support yourself and your family. Remember, you don't stay with that job forever. It's just to gain experience for the future jobs you want to do. This is then put onto your resume when you look for a second job. This then you can find a better job that you would like to do. With employers seeing you with previous work experience, you know that you will be first priority amongst the others who don't giving you a better chance of a position.

I use to work at my uncle's restaurant as a delivery driver just to gain experience. I didn't get paid very much regardless of my age but I was doing it to support myself and better yet, experience to get another job that I wanted. I then later stopped working for my uncle as I wasn't really permantely working with them, only helping out while the real delivery driver was on holiday.

Now, I moved into retail as a Nightfill Associate. Something much better than my first job. I get paid more and now I can buy whatever I want that I had in mind for the past 2 years. I added my job experience in my resume and got offered the job. See, experience is everything.

Now, to your issue. Where you have applied could have 2 possible reasons. 1) The positions were already filled, 2) Your resume's information could have contributed to the downfall and therefore, someone with better knowledge stole your position.

As I said, experience is everything. Employers look for experience first over the ones who don't. Experience get's first priority.

So once again, don't be picky on your jobs as it is only to support yourself for the near future.

Good luck on your job seeking :)
