Career in hairdressing? |
always been interested in hairdressing - does anyone how how much their earn? any thoughts on the toni & guy academy? you dont earn much for the first 4 years after that u earn a fair bit i have a friend who was a hairdresser and gave it up cause her arms were always so sore and she got arthritis in her shoulders, and they only make minimum wage plus the occasional tip. depends on your marketing mix. location, quality of service, and promotions are the most critical points in a hairdressing business. most businesses in the industry have a payback period of 3-4years. (time to earn back the initial outlay) iv just finishd my app. an its not as much as i thought it woudl b i still cant get a home loan, its just enuf to live on, an the pays **** the first few years, i got soar feed, back and arms- pros, its a qualafication that u can take anywere! Gran daughter, now eighteen going to college for hair dressing, changing to sports physiotherapy because she says it was waste of time,no money in it, low pay,Don't do it. i wouldn't say don't do it. i know a few people who are in the industry and they make pretty good money. it's all about owning your own shop, location and cliental. however, there are long hours involved at times, but if you want something bad enough you have to burn the "midnight oil." Where are you! what country!! I'm a fully qualified hairdresser in the UK, where I work which is the same level of Toni and guy, the assistance's get about 拢100.00 per week which is rubbish considering the hours they work!! But then saying that there is good money to be had when your qualified if your good and hard working. good luck |
