Databank for Recruiters with negative info about employees? |
If an employee of less than 3 months quits a job without giving a notice, is there a databank that employers can post negative comments to, where other prospective employers can query to find out info? Or is there a way for an employer to post something negative like this (if the employee did nothing illegal, just didn't give notice) to someone's credit report? No, and it would be illegal, if their employer calls for reference you can tell them how they worked...you'll have to use creative words so that you cannot be sued for defamiation. You can say no we would not hire him/her again. Also, most states use at-will employment, so you can fire (with a valid reason ie. bad performance)an employee without giving notice, but they can also quit without giving notice. No but your employer can tell a potential employer that you are not reliable or talk of the record and ensure that you do not get hired. A lot of people are having a hard time in having a retirement acount. Most Americans be be fired for almost no excuses because of At-Will Employment.
