How should I explain this in a job interview (see details please)?

I am 22. I've been temping for the past 2 years in several different offices. Before that, I worked for a small research clinic for 2 years. About halfway through my time there, they instituted an "occurance" policy. If you called in sick, that was an occurance; if you forgot to clock in or out, that was an occurance, etc. If you reached 12 occurances you were fired (that's what happened to me). Six of my occurances were time clock violations. One or two were legitimate sick days. The other four or five were from me calling in sick because I was disillusioned with my job due to bad office politics. The day of my 12th occurance, I called in sick when I wasn't really, knowing that I would lose my job. So I sort of quit and sort of got fired. I should have found another job and left before this happened, but I was an immature 19-year-old at the time. How should I explain this to a prospective employer if they ask me why I left that position?

Tell the truth. Explain your age and immaturity and assure them that time has taught you your lesson. If you lie and get caught they can fire you after you're hired. I own a business and like to be keep in the loop with honesty. If you're deceitful on this item, they will preceive you'll be deceitful on other issues; ergo, you can't be trusted. Good luck. Sheesh that sounds like a crappy place to work.

I would tell them you were very unhappy there. If they ask you to elaberate, just exaplain it to them just like you explained it here.
Don't even put the job on the resume. That saves having to explain the issue.
i dont think you have to get into all that.
just be yourself and if they like you and believe you have the skills they will hire you.
that place would have fired me on the 12th day of me forgeting to clock in.......make that 6th day from the no clock out combo.
Tell them the truth. It is understandable.. and you were only 19. I am sure they will understand. It is better to tell the truth than to say you left due to problems within the office, only to have them call your reference and hear from them that you were 'let go', due to defiance of office policy.
You say that you left the first job because you needed to find a position that would allow you to mature and develop your skills. That through temping for the past two years, you have gained a variety of skills (list them) and matured as a person. While you still expect to grow and learn, you have realized that you made mistakes in your past employment positions and have learned from them. (Then give specific examples, for example, I have learned that my personality type is to be straight-forward and I need to participate in creating work environments that support honesty.)

Good luck!
