What's the best way to make an important life/career decision when you are at a major crossroads? |
I'm at a point now where I can see myself going down two career paths, both of which I'm pretty interested and passionate about. One would be more beneficial financially in the short term, while the other one would be better professionally long term. Argh! Any advice? Thanks! Sometimes it helps me to just sit down a write out a list of all the pro's and con's. After doing that, the answer is usually obvious. It sounds kind of basic, but it does work. Is there any way you can work full time in one and part time in the other? Or part time in both? If one does not work out, you always have the other to fall back on. Short term Financial Gain Vs Long term professional gain? Choose the one that helps you grow as a person, the one that you'd look forward to each morning and where you don't see yourself reaching a dead end some day, as in there are opportunities to grow. Yes, I think you should leave immediately. EDIT - My original post was 30 seconds ago. Are you gone yet? EDIT - Still here? What's the hold up? EDIT - GET OUT!!!! EDIT - Shoooo!!!! - |
