Which one is easier to become and easier to work. Hvac mechanic or Electrician? |
please behonest with your response. i really need to know. thank you. I'm an electrician, but know HVAC guys, I love what I do, and there is alot more work for an electrician. I do the electrical for Heating, and Air Conditioning, so its kinda the same, but I wouldn't give up being an electrician. theres new things every day for us to do. I just caught the way your question was worded.....Seems like you are looking for something easy.... uuum, neither are easy work, If my finger slips, I get shocked and can die, nothing is EASY, unless you want to be a babysitter, or work at McDonalds. Electrical work is VERY rewarding, to see somethng after you install it and make it work is amazing, and you should not get in the business unless you are ready to work HARD! Try being in a 120 degreee manhole SWEATING ON 300,000 VOLTS OF ELECTRICITY!!! Yep, thats easy.....I also spent the day today on some lady hot attic, smelling all of her 3 dogs, which i am allergic to. Not many jobs we go to have air conditioning, cause the power is out. Today my meter ran 120 degrees in her attic, working around FIBERGLASS. EASY.....HELL NO, But a nice old lady can have air conditioning, and read her book to some light, and cook a nice meal because I did ALOT OF HARD WORK TODAY!!!! Thats the reward im talking about! I do not have any personal experince- but I highly recomend talking to people who have this career (grab the yellow pages and call someone) while you might be lucky and have someone answer here it doesn't look like you'll have such luck. An HVAC mechanic can also be an electrician. It's about the same learning load. Been there, done that for 25 years. |
